CENOR Group is led by CENOR, Consultores, S.A., with head office in Rua das Vigias, nº 2 - Piso 1, Parque das Nações, Lisbon - Portugal. CENOR, Consultores was established in 1980 and has developed its core business activities within the fields of Design, and Construction Survey, Inspection and Management.

The company has grown continually, being involved in successively larger and more complex projects.

In response to ever more demanding market requirements, CENOR, Consultores started to set up its sector-specific activities in autonomous companies which are highly specialised, but moderately sized. It is now at the head of a group of six companies:

• CENORPLAN, Planeamento e Projectos, Lda., established in 1989, is primarily concerned with Highway design;
• CENOR, Projectos de Engenharia, Lda., established in 1992, is dedicated to the design of Structures, Hydraulic Engineering Projects, Wastewater and the Environment, Hydropower and Water Resources;
• ECG, Engenharia, Coordenação e Gestão, Lda., established in 1992, focuses on Construction Survey and Inspection and Construction Management;
• ECGPLAN, Engenharia, Gestão e Planeamento, Lda., established in 1992, is also dedicated to Construction survey and Inspection and Construction Management. It undertakes projects in Portugal's Madeira Autonomous Region and has head office in Funchal;
• CENORGEO, Engenharia Geotécnica, Lda., established in 1999, concentrates on design and survey of geotechnical and geological engineering projects;
• CENOR, Consultores, SA - Sucursal Angola, established in 2006, with its office in Luanda, concentrates on Angola market;
• CENOR, Açores, Lda, established in 2009, with its office in Ponta Delgada, S. Miguel Island (Azores), concentrates in Portugal's Azores Autonomous Region.

Its Quality System is certified to Portuguese Standard NP EN ISO 9001:2008 for Design and Consultancy, Coordination, Management, Inspection and Quality Management of Civil Engineering Construction Works.
